AC Milan have been presented with two possible routes to secure Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United this month.

The 27-year-old forward is expected to leave Old Trafford in 2025, having recently expressed his desire for a new challenge in a candid interview.

Rashford, once United’s brightest attacking star, peaked with a 30-goal season under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23 but has struggled for form since.

Under Ruben Amorim, Rashford has fallen out of favor.

Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes have taken prominent roles.

While Rashford has been left out of the last six matchday squads.

After nearly 20 years at United, where he burst onto the scene as an 18-year-old with memorable debut performances, Rashford’s departure appears imminent.

The club is reportedly open to a January loan move, with a permanent transfer likely in the summer.

AC Milan are particularly keen on the England international.

Former United player and Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic is believed to be a driving force behind their interest.

However, due to financial constraints, Milan would prefer a loan arrangement.

According to Gazzetta Sport, Milan have two options on the table.

The first is a loan with an option to buy in the summer.

While appealing, this deal would require Milan to cover part of Rashford’s wages during the loan period.

If they choose to make the deal permanent, they would also need to renegotiate Rashford’s contract, which could involve a pay cut.

Milan are uncertain if the player would accept reduced terms.

The second option is a dry loan without any future obligations.

This approach simplifies negotiations but forfeits Milan’s chance to secure Rashford permanently ahead of other suitors.

Financial challenges loom over both options.

Rashford’s wages and the complexity of a potential summer deal present significant hurdles.

Juventus and Tottenham are also monitoring the situation, and interest in Rashford is expected to grow by the summer.

For Milan, this January represents a chance to gain a crucial advantage.

However, they must act swiftly and decisively to navigate the financial intricacies of the deal.
