The 2024/25 Premier League season has so far been a mess for United fans to witness.

Erik ten Hag departing a squad built over £600 million, to the hands of Ruben Amorim has been a harsh task.

United have continued to struggle under the Portuguese, despite going to a more cautious system in the 3-4-3.

Goalscoring issues have continued to be a main theme, with 27 goals scored in the league this season.

While the transfer talk will mainly be dominated by incomings, outgoings are important too.

The January window has come at the right time, but United need to make use of it smartly.

Many players across the squad have been linked with a winter exit.

Two of which, play in the same position and may be on their way out soon.

Those two players are Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

According to Mark Ogden on ESPN, AC Milan are eyeing up signing the duo.

It is believed that the Italian giants would pursue them on a loan basis.

They are two players shortlisted, along with Chelsea’s Joao Felix.

Milan’s push for Hojlund and Zirkzee has come due to failed pursuit of Marcus Rashford.

Whether United allow both to leave in the window, without replacements in first would be unlikely.

However, it is a possibility that is quickly becoming likely.

Moreso, considering United’s struggles in attack this season have been a mess.

Despite producing solid performances away at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, glaring issues still persist.

Fans are beginning to lose hope in Hojlund, while Zirkzee’s beginning to grow into his position.

The report states United would need to sign another forward, before allowing either Zirkzee or Hojlund to leave.

Juventus also remain interested in the pair.
