Manchester United have only two weeks left to offload their unwanted stars as the Premier League is now underway.

Ruben Amorim’s men opened their 2025/26 campaign with a 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford, seeing new signings Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all take to the field.

The trio’s outing marked the first outing for all three in the Premier League in a United shirt, whilst it also served as Sesko’s debut in the league.

However, one man who was left out of the squad entirely is Rasmus Hojlund who is set to depart this summer,

With Benjamin Sesko arriving from RB Leipzig, Hojlund has slipped down Ruben Amorim’s pecking order after two years of struggling to establish himself as the club’s first-choice striker.

This isn’t the first game Hojlund has missed now, as he was an unused substitute against Fiorentina in the pre-season, although this is the first time he wasn’t even selected for the bench.

The Denmark international has been told that if he wants game time, he’ll have to find a new club.

After the game, Amorim dodged the question on Hojlund’s future, saying: “It is our player — we have to make choices.”

He continued: “We have players that have to stay helping the team from the outside.

“He has to fight for his place. We will see what’s going to happen. Rasmus has the same characteristics as Sesko, so sometimes we need to choose.”

ESPN has reported that United want around £30m for Rasmus Hojlund, with Milan preferring a loan deal or a lower fee.

“Højlund is a good option for us,” Milan sporting director Igli Tare told Mediaset on Sunday. “We are thinking about him, but in the transfer market, you never know what could happen.”
