The future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been greatly discussed in this transfer window.

Despite being arguably the best one-on-one right back in the English Premier League, Wan-Bissaka has been constantly linked with a move away from the club.

That’s primarily due to his playing style.

Commentators have picked up that he’s better defensively than in offensive.

For a club like Manchester United, who primarily operate on the front foot, that tends to weaken the right hand of their attack.

When you compare him to Luke Shaw on the other side of the pitch, the difference is noticeable in an attacking sense.

Having said that, his qualities in defence are without that.

Numerous opposition players think that they’ve gotten the better of Wan-Bissaka, only for the defender to stick a leg out of nowhere and tackle the ball clean.

It was that ability that made United spend £50m when they signed him from Crystal Palace in 2019.

But it seems that his time at the club is soon to be up.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for his contract to expire at the end of the season. With the player not turning 27 until November, there’s still a valuable player there.

Manchester United would ideally want to get money for the right-back rather than lose him for free at the end of the season.

It has now emerged that Wan-Bissaka has already rejected a move to another English Premier League club as he instead wants a move to Serie A.

David Ornstein from The Athletic has tweeted that West Ham United have agreed a deal to sign Bayern Munich right back Noussair Mazraoui.

West Ham were one of the clubs linked with a move for Wan-Bissaka earlier in the window.

Ornstein has now confirmed that and added that the player rejected the move to the London Stadium.

Instead, Aaron Wan-Bissaka wants to move to Inter Milan. Inter were reported to want to sign the player on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Furthermore, Ornstein adds that intermediary talks have taken place about a potential swap between Wan-Bissaka and Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries has been linked to a move to Old Trafford ever since fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag took over at the club.

Those talks are not said to be advanced right now.

With United interested in signing a new right back, there could potentially be an opportunity to swap with Inter.

It’s sure to be interesting to see what the future holds on the right-back situation at the club. We’ll sure find out sooner than later.
