Manchester United’s new recruitment strategy under INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe has seen the club put a premium on signing high-potential young players.

Moves for Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi-Martin, and interest in Leny Yoro highlight a clear shift toward securing talent early, without overpaying.

It’s a model focused on smart investments rather than flashy fees – identifying players with high ceilings before they explode on the European stage.

And now, Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashari is the latest to be contacted by United following his breakthrough season in Belgium.

The 22-year-old Swiss international is currently the subject of a formal £25.6m offer from AC Milan, according to The Mirror’s report.

The bid from Milan is understood to be consisting of a £21.3 million transfer fee and £4.3 million in add-ons, however Brugge are holding out for a combined £34 million (€40 million).

It’s understood that United have now joined the Italian side in holding talks with Jashari’s agent, however, they have yet to firm up interest.

Fulham and West Ham have already been politely turned down due to a lack of Champions League football.

Jashari is reportedly hesitant over Old Trafford for similar reasons, with Milan currently leading the race after already tabling a bid.

The Mirror also state that Manchester City also tracked him before landing Tijjani Reijnders from Milan.

As well as several other European giants including PSG, Dortmund, and Juventus, who have scouted him closely.

Jashari was already linked with United earlier this year, as news circulated in March, following his stellar rise from Luzern to Brugge for just £5m.

Another midfield departure along with Christian Eriksen this summer could free up funds and a place in midfield, which may reignite United’s interest.

For now, Milan remain in pole position – but Jashari’s reps expect more suitors to step up as the summer progresses.
