Ruud van Nistelrooy
Ruud van Nistelrooy returned to Manchester United in the summer as an assistant coach.
Having managed PSV Eindhoven in the past, many saw the former Red Devils striker as being the next Dutch tactician to make it to a top managerial role.

It has since emerged that he turned down the Burnley job after Vincent Kompany left for Bayern Munich.
Many speculated that his decision to turn down the Burnley head coach job indicated he could have his sights set on the interim role if Erik ten Hag were to be let go.
With his defensive coaching acumen from coaching PSV, van Nistelrooy could step in effectively while the club searches for a long-term solution, providing the stability needed during a challenging period.
One thing is for sure, his appointment would be easy to make and one that the fans could get behind.
Van Nistelrooy has been part of the coaching setup already, so knows the players, and is a certified United legend.
