Potential Move Away?
Harry Amass has recently been linked with a move away from Manchester United to Aston Villa, but this speculation is driven more by Aston Villa’s interest than any intent from United to offload him.
Villa initially pursued Amass when he was leaving Watford in 2023, only to lose out to Manchester United.
Despite this setback, their interest in the promising left-back has not waned.
However, it seems highly unlikely that United would entertain any offers from Villa.
The club is still reeling from the decision to sell Alvaro Fernandez to Benfica, a move that has left them thin in the left-back department.
Given this, United will likely prioritize retaining Amass as a long-term solution rather than risk losing another talented full-back.
A more realistic scenario might involve a loan move to a Championship club.
Such a move would give Amass valuable experience in senior football, allowing him to develop his skills and adapt to the physicality and pace of the professional game.
However, considering United’s current issues at left-back, Amass might not need to look elsewhere for opportunities.
With a potential first-team debut on the horizon, his immediate future appears to be at Old Trafford.
If he continues to impress, Amass could soon find himself playing a key role in United’s plans.
