Harry Amass has been knocking on the door of Manchester United’s first team since his arrival from Watford in 2023.
Widely regarded as one of the top full-back prospects in the country, the talented left-back currently features for United’s U21 side but has often been with the first team squad.
After impressing Erik ten Hag during pre-season, it seemed likely that Amass would earn some first-team minutes this campaign.
However, he has yet to make his competitive debut.
Known for his composure in possession, Amass excels in ball retention and driving play from the flanks.
His versatility allows him to either stay wide and overlap or invert into central areas, making him an asset in both attacking and build-up phases.
While there are some defensive concerns, the arrival of Ruben Amorim and his 3-4-2-1 system could help mitigate those by utilising Amass as a left wing-back.
With left wing-back remaining a problem area for United, the question is whether Amass can make an impact under Amorim or if a loan move would be the best step for his development.
