Should Manchester United target Liam Delap or make Rasmus Hojlund their main man?

Both?

While both Rasmus Hojlund and Liam Delap possess the qualities to thrive in Ruben Amorim’s system, bringing them together as part of the same squad seems unlikely at this stage.

With Joshua Zirkzee potentially on the way out, having two similar strikers for rotation would be beneficial, but United have greater priorities for their transfer budget.

INEOS will also be mindful of the club’s promising academy talents and the risk of blocking their pathways.

Chido Obi, a highly-rated summer signing, has already shown his potential, while Ethan Wheatley and Gabriel Biancheri continue to develop as standout prospects.

Adding another striker like Delap could hinder the progress of these young stars, which goes against United’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.

Although the idea of both Hojlund and Delap in the same squad is appealing for depth and competition, the smarter move would be to invest resources in areas of greater need while giving opportunities to United’s rising academy forwards.
