Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is under significant pressure, with Ineos set to make a decision on his future.
Several managers have been linked to the role, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a potential interim option while the club searches for a permanent successor.
Famously a plan United have used in the past.
Although it’s unlikely the club will take this route again, Solskjaer has commented on the role, saying, “I don’t like to talk about other managers’ jobs, but yes. Of course, I would.”
If Manchester United take the interim route however, it is likely they will appoint current assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
