2027/28 Starting XI

I believe this will be the season for Harry Amass.

The young left-back has been knocking on the door for a couple of years.

As he approaches 20, 2027/28 may be the perfect time for him to break into the first team.

This would allow Jarrad Branthwaite to return to his more familiar role at left centre-back.

With Lisandro Martínez turning 29 in 2027, rotating his minutes could help prolong his career further.

As mentioned before, a crucial part of any rebuild is selling players at the right time, and this might be the opportune moment to cash in on Marcus Rashford.

He’ll be nearing the end of his prime but still hold significant market value, making room for Alejandro Garnacho to cement his place as first choice at left wing.

Goalkeeper is already a concern for many Manchester United fans, and by the 2027/28 season, it may be time for an upgrade.

Diogo Costa, the 24-year-old Porto goalkeeper, has long been seen as the future of elite goalkeeping.

With a well-rounded game, he could be a perfect replacement for Onana, offering instant success and slotting in seamlessly to the United XI.

Predicted XI : Diogo Costa – Dalot –  Yoro – J Branthwaite – Harry Amass – Ugarte – Mainoo – B Fernandes –  Kudus – Hojlund – Garnacho
