Napoli
Reports have emerged suggesting that Napoli are interested in bringing Joshua Zirkzee on loan in January as a backup to Romelu Lukaku.
This move would offer Napoli a different type of striker to complement Lukaku’s playing style.
This would allow the team to vary their attacking options and approach.
For Manchester United, this would be an ideal opportunity to raise Zirkzee’s transfer value by sending him out on loan.
However, it seems unlikely that Zirkzee would be keen on such a move so early in his United career.
Especially if it’s only a temporary arrangement with no permanent option.
AC Milan
With Joshua Zirkzee reportedly keen on returning to Italy, AC Milan have emerged as a leading contender for his signature.
The Italian giants were interested in signing Zirkzee in the summer but ultimately lost out to Manchester United.
However, with Zirkzee struggling to find his feet at Old Trafford and reports suggesting he privately regrets choosing United over Milan, the club seems to be circling again.
Milan could view this as an opportunity to bring Zirkzee in on loan with an option to buy.
Potentially for a much lower fee than the one they were willing to pay last summer.
This would allow Milan to strengthen their attack while giving Zirkzee a chance to rediscover his form in a familiar environment.
