Casemiro (Player of the Match) – 10/10

This is the Casemiro we want to see.

A truly stark improvement from the previous games of this season, Casemiro bossed this game.

I lost count how many times he broke the lines, getting United from the first to second phase of play in just one pass.

His long passing and diagonals were also fabulous, as we saw for Anthony Martial’s goal to make it 3-0.

The goal to open the scoring was just another example of how effective he can be in the opposition’s box.

We can only hope to see this version of Casemiro more and more in the future.

Mason Mount – 9/10

Among many returning players from injury in this game was Mason Mount. And just like Varane and Amrabat, Mount was great.

He registered his first assist for the club, setting up Casemiro’s goal and played a big part in United’s first. His diagonal to find Pellistri on the right was inch perfect.

Mount’s absence was badly felt in the games prior and I for one am thrilled to have him back in the fold for the forthcoming fixtures.

Hannibal Mejbri – 4/10

It was the second start in a row for Hannibal Mejbri but he didn’t particularly impress in this match.

The Tunisian was on the brink of getting sent off due to a few rash challenges and overall struggled to have an impact on the game.

Hopefully he will get more chances to prove himself in the future.
