Andre Onana – 7/10
It was a relatively quiet night for Onana as he only had two saves to make.
His passing was immaculate once again.
Diogo Dalot – 9.5/10
A brilliant game from the Portuguese international, playing a big part in United’s opening goal.
In the last few games he has had more and more of an impact in the final third, putting in dangerous crosses and cut backs, which is very good to see considering that has been one of his main weaknesses for a while.
There is real promise that he is getting back to the levels he showed last season before his injury at the World Cup.
Raphael Varane – 8/10
The 2018 World Cup winner returned to the starting eleven for the first time since the Nottingham Forest game and he was at his best straight away.
He broke the lines with his passing multiple times and was untroubled defensively throughout his sixty minutes on the pitch.
United fans will be delighted to have him back for the upcoming matches.
Harry Maguire – 8/10
Like his central defensive partner, Harry Maguire was faultless in this game. He defended excellently in the rare occassions it was necessary, winning 2 of his 3 ground duels and all 3 of his aerial duels.
His passing was also great, as he completed 108 out of his 116 passes and 6 long balls out of 7.
Sofyan Amrabat – 9/10
The Morrocan made his first start for Manchester United as a left-back due to the shortage in that position. But realistically, he was only playing as a left-back without the ball.
In those situations, Amrabat did really well to stop Palace’s right winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from creating anything of note.
With the ball, Amrabat was incredible.
Some of the diagonals he played from the left all the way to Facundo Pellistri on the right were jaw dropping and he was a big part of why United were able to control this game so easily.
