Number 5

Odion Ighalo (2020) – Hit

Ighalo’s loan move from Shanghai Shenhua provided additional depth to United’s attack at the time.

While not a long-term solution, he contributed valuable goals during his short stay, including that memorable strike against LASK in the Europa League, which was voted United’s goal of the month for March 2020.

Saidy Janko (2013) – Miss

Janko was voted the Reserve Player of the Year in his first season at Old Trafford.

However, his trajectory took a downturn from there onwards as he encountered difficulties in breaking into the first team.

His lone appearance for the senior squad saw him substituted off at half-time during a disheartening 4-0 loss against MK Dons in the League Cup.
