Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo seems to be improving with every passing game, making it all the more baffling why Erik ten Hag hesitated to use him during his tenure.

Under Ruben Amorim, however, Amad is flourishing, making the right wing-back position his own.

He has balanced defensive solidity with relentless energy up and down the touchline, while also playing a key role in Manchester United’s attacking build-up.

What truly stood out against Everton was Amad’s pressing.

He relentlessly harassed the opposition, winning the ball high up the pitch twice, directly leading to goals.

It was a complete performance.

In his man-of-the-match display, Amad registered two assists, created three chances, completed all four of his dribbles, and made four tackles.

These are exactly the kind of numbers Amorim demands from his wing-backs, and Amad is delivering.

With performances like this, there’s no doubt that Amad Diallo is cementing his place in Amorim’s plans, both for the immediate season and the long-term future of Manchester United.
