Rasmus Hojlund

After speculation about Manchester United needing a new striker, Rasmus Hojlund demonstrated why he can be the main man for the team.

He excelled in all aspects of his game, holding up the ball effectively, running the channels with purpose, and pressing relentlessly.

The biggest question mark surrounding Hojlund has often been his goal-scoring ability, but he answered that emphatically with a well-taken brace.

He has lacked the consistent service a striker of his caliber thrives on.

Today, however, he showed that when given opportunities, he can be clinical in front of goal.

While there’s still room for improvement, Hojlund’s performance highlighted how well he fits into Ruben Amorim’s system.

The Danish striker looks poised to play a central role in United’s resurgence, provided he continues to build on displays like this.
