1. Altay Bayindir

After a shaky outing in the EFL Cup against Spurs, Altay Bayindir was under pressure to deliver—and he did just that with a man-of-the-match performance against Arsenal.

His crucial save from Martin Odegaard’s penalty was a turning point in the game, and he made several other outstanding saves to keep United in contention.

To push Andre Onana for the starting spot, Bayindir must continue to seize his opportunities.

However, if he hopes to become United’s first-choice goalkeeper, he will need to work on his distribution.

Which remains a notable weakness in his game.

2.  Starting to Click?

After impressive performances against Liverpool and Arsenal, is Ruben Amorim’s vision finally starting to take shape at Manchester United?

Amorim has tweaked United’s off-ball structure to a 5-4-1, which has brought greater defensive solidity.

Patterns of play are becoming evident, and the team’s hard work on the training ground is beginning to pay off.

However, Amorim will know there’s still room for improvement, particularly when United are not sitting in a low block.

It’s one thing to counter-attack effectively against top teams, but Thursday’s match against Southampton will require a different approach.

United must show they can control the game, press higher, and create consistent chances to prove they are progressing under Amorim’s system.
