3. Sekou Kone

Signed for around £1 million from Guidars FC this summer, Sekou Kone is highly regarded by the Manchester United hierarchy.
In 2023, Sekou Kone made a significant impact on the footballing world, leading Mali U17 to 3rd place in the U17 FIFA World Cup and earning a spot in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations team of the tournament.
Although he is listed as a number 6, his attributes may see him push further forward in the future.
He is physically powerful and technically secure with a huge passing range, drawing comparisons to former Manchester City player Yaya Touré.
Defensive midfield has long been a problem position for Manchester United.
There are high hopes that Kone can fulfil his immense potential and become a regular in the first team to ease these issues.
However, the club are aware that the transition might be challenging.
He is expected to start with the youth teams to acclimate to English football before making his move to the senior squad.
But that transition is expected to be this at some point in this season.
