Youngster confirms he’s signed Manchester United contract

The odds are however in his side with current U18 star left back Harry Amass expected to be thrust into the U21

Manchester United have added more talent to their youth ranks after signing one of Aston Villa’s most promising youngsters.

Young left back Dante Plunkett spend the second half of the season on trial and he will officially join the club as part of their new scholarship intake for the next two seasons before a decision is made on whether or not to offer him a professional contract.

He has not played a lot since arriving at United featuring on the bench for the U18s before finally making his debut in the final match of the season for the title winning youngsters.

It is still early days and with a lot of work to be done before the young defender establishes himself in the youth team but he shows enough potential to give it a proper good go.

The odds are however in his side with current U18 star left back Harry Amass expected to be thrust into the U21 which means Plunkett will have more chances in the U18s.

The youngster confirmed the news on his Instagram handle posing with his new United shirt underneath the famous Trinity statue at Old Trafford of Denis Law, Sir Bobby Charlton and George Best.
