Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana once again gave a catastrophic display for The Red Devils in their first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Lyon.
Onana made some truly catastrophic errors which led to both of Lyon’s goals which cost The Red Devils an advantage going into the second leg.
Firstly the goalkeeper seemingly fell to the floor, failing to stop a free kick which simply bounced it’s way just inside the far post.
Then, in the dying embers of the game, a ridiculously poor parry set-up Rayan Cherki for a simple tap in.
These are only the recent mistakes in a long run of errors which have put him at the top of the list of Premier League goalkeepers with the most errors committed that have resulted in a goal.
However, if the mistakes themselves weren’t bad enough, Onana had entered a feud with Lyon midfielder and former Manchester United man Nemanja Matic before the game.
Onana claimed that United were considerably better than Lyon, with Matic responding by highlighting how Onana is statistically the worst keep United have had.
Well, Onana lived up to the stats and Matic’s comments, with his teammates seemingly growing tired of the problematic goalie.

Manchester United squad’s actions speak volumes with Andre Onana form
The Express has commented on how following the game, Onana’s United teammates consoled him and his dire performance.
However, Amorim’s men seemed reluctant to engage with him, merely tapping him on the back before he was seen motionless with his head in his hands.
After the game, Amorim attempted some damage limitation, supporting Onana, saying: “I’m really confident in Andre [Onana}. The best thing is to look at the goals, all the actions that Andre had in the game.”
He then added: “That’s the best way to help any player.”
However, the actions of the players immediately after the game suggests these aren’t the feelings of the whole United camp.
