Senne Lammens is a goalkeeper on the verge of joining Manchester United after weeks of speculation and links between the two parties.
But, a meeting between the goalkeeper’s agent and representatives of Manchester United only increased speculation about the Royal Antwerp shot-stopper’s future, whether that be at Old Trafford or another club.
However, the revealing of the news earlier today that United were preparing a £16 million package, plus add-ons and that this bid was expected to be accepted increased the chances of the ‘keeper joining Ruben Amorim’s squad.
But, news that Galatasaray had put a 11th hour bid for the 22-year-old has left the chances of Lammens joining United on a knife edge.
Now, a new update has emerged relating to the goalkeeper’s duties at his current club, Royal Antwerp.
According to David Van den Broeck, who tweeted on X, Senne Lammens will not take part in Antewerp’s fixture against KV Mechelen due to the ‘keeper being close to a move to Manchester United.

Here, it can be said that Antwerp have decided not to risk Lammens against Mechelen to ensure his move to United has the best chance of going through.
The goalkeeper may decide to take the opportunity to finalise his move to United or could simply choose to rest ahead of a potential transfer.
Either way, with this news now being revealed, the chances of the goalkeeper joining the Red Devils can be said to have been increased.
But, with Galatasaray still in the conversation for the 22-year-old, only time will tell in United’s pursuit to bring the shot-stopper to the club.
#antkvm
