However, Sunday’s demonstration by season ticket holders in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand was no less effective.
The protest unfolded during Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves.

As reported by Chris Wheeler for the Daily Mail, fans held placards in direct view of chief executive Omar Berrada, chief operating officer Collette Roche, and technical director Jason Wilcox.
Supporters were voicing their anger at plans to relocate them in order to create space for a new VIP dugout club.
Plans which would see long-time season ticket holders displaced to accommodate premium seats.
Messages displayed included: ‘Tourists Over Fans’, ‘Pay for your own mistakes, not with my seat, shame on you’ and ’50 years, one family, taken for profit not passion’.
According to Daily Mail’s report, leaflets were handed out during the Europa League clash with Lyon.

Fans were asked to protest during the Wolves fixture while stressing that no offensive language should appear on banners.
As the Daily Mail highlighted, the proposal to replace loyal supporters with £15,000-a-match hospitality seating has left many fans frustrated.
Especially those who have held their seats for well over decades.
One elderly supporter said he had been advised to consider moving to the Stretford End.
A suggestion he felt was completely unsuitable.
Another fan, who has sat in the South Stand for over 30 years, told the Daily Mail the area had been home to local families for generations.
As well as stating that the club’s decision had torn away an important part of the Old Trafford community.
