Ruud van Nistelrooy believes he’s found his next club and wants to remain in England.
Van Nistelrooy was dismissed from Old Trafford this week after his interim role as manager came to an end with the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
During brief second stint at Old Trafford after joining as an assistant manager in the summer, van Nistelrooy held the fort after Erik ten Hag was sacked.
He managed to help turn The Red Devils around to get three wins and a draw, leaving the club as an unbeaten manager.

Now, the recent United coach has been linked to Burnley as a potential placement to Scott Parker if the Championship club decide to part ways with their current boss.
However, Sam C on X has reported that they may be too late, as van Nistelrooy has already applied to a new club. who would be facing The Clarets.
Ruud van Nistelrooy applies to Coventry City
The legendary striker has reportedly applied to be Coventry City’s next manager.
The Championship side are currently in 17th place, only a point clear of the relegation zone.
Coventry reportedly have a shortlist of managers who they’re considering appointing, of which Ruud van Nistelrooy is one.
The need for a new manager comes as Coventry sacked Mark Robbins after seven years as manager.
Coventry’s owner, Doug King, released a statement following the dismissal saying: “It had to be done.”
He continued: “He [Robins] dismantled the coaching staff at this football club. That’s the thing people don’t realise.
“The fall-off following the semi-final [against Manchester United] was obvious. I told Mark to take time out and have a rest. But then I had a call from Mark saying he could no longer work with Adi Viveash. That annoyed me.
“You could argue this has been a big mistake – and that’s fair enough. I say it was necessary to protect – and not squander – what has been created through the sale of high-quality players.
“Sometimes a tough decision has to be made. I’m sorry it had to be. I like Mark Robins and we’ve had good times together – but it had to be made.”
If Ruud van Nistelrooy gets the job at Coventry, he’ll be faced with a similar task to that at United, of turning the club around to fight their way back up the table.
