With the international break upon us, most of United’s players will be jetting off to meet with their countrymen and participate in World Cup qualifiers for their national team.

It’s been an action-packed, cinematic start to the season with The Red Devils looking promising in attack against Arsenal, before missing crucial chances to beat Fulham and then crushingly losing to Grimsby before managing to regain momentum in beating Burnley 3-2.

It’s clear that whilst there are still issues to be addressed, more time on the training ground with Ruben Amorim has made United more of a threat going forward, the issue seems to be in taking chances and dealing with games becoming chaotic.

The international break may have sapped the momentum built from the Burnley victory, coming at the wrong time off the back of Amorim’s first win of the season.

However, a number of players will get time with the former Sporting CP coach for some crucial extra training sessions.

Manchester Evening News has reported that goalkeeper signing Senne Lammens who arrived on deadline day will be join a group of players for extra sessions.

Joining United’s new signing for training sessions are a quartet of players who missed out on Thomas Tuchel’s England side: Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount.

As well as the England hopefuls, veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton, young centre-back Tyler Fredricson and recent signing Diego Leon will also report to Carrington to get some much-needed time with the United manager.

Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee who came on as substitutes vs Burnley in United’s 3-2 victory will make up the remaining group of players to join and keep their fitness levels sharp.

With signings coming in and many leaving, there is stiff competition for places, especially with one game a week. This may be an excellent opportunity for players to show Amorim their ability.
