Mason Mount has played in each of Manchester United’s three Premier League games so far this season.
The midfielder, formerly of Chelsea, has played 179 minutes in these three games so far.
Furthermore, in these games combined, the Englishman has received an average rating of 7.11 according to FotMob.
However, since joining the Red Devils in 2023, Mount has arguably struggled to find his feet with him only playing 51 times and scoring four times.
Therefore, the 26-year-old could be viewing this season as an opportunity to find his feet and finally succeed in a red shirt.
However, this aim could have suffered a major setback in today’s game versus Burnley.
According to United boss Ruben Amorim, Mason Mount played with an injury for 30 minutes.
Speaking after the game, Amorim commented that “Mason Mount played 30 minutes with an injury.”
The Red Devils boss also added that he was “concerned about that” in reference to the midfielder’s injury.
With this news revealed, it can be said to be likely that the 26-year-old will miss a period of time.
But, with the international break coming up, this injury could be healed by the time Manchester United face fierce rivals Manchester City in two weeks.
If he does make it back for this game, it can be said to be likely that he will feature.
If he is to make this season successful, his recovery will arguably be crucial.
Now, alongside Matheus Cunha’s injury concerns that were picked up today, attention will turn towards the two player’s recoveries.
However, nothing can be counted for sure yet and the coming days and week will be crucial in telling us pivotal information about the extent of Mount’s injury.
Therefore, only time will tell in the pursuit of getting both players fit.
