Ruben Amorim has finally stepped out onto the pitch at Old Trafford for the first time as Manchester United head coach.
The Portuguese manager has had a busy few days to start his new role, exploring Carrington and meeting the staff.
On Monday, Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox welcomed Amorim to Manchester, waiting for him at United’s training complex.
Over the last few days, Amorim has met his new staff and players in the first-squad and academy.
Now, MUTV were there to record Amorim’s reaction to stepping out on the pitch at Old Trafford for the first time.
Ruben Amorim comments on first thoughts at Old Trafford
When asked what he thinks, Amorim commented: “You watch on TV and you know that it’s big and it’s impressive. But when you are here, you can feel the history.”
He continued: “I’m really really proud to be a Manchester United coach, so it’s amazing. It’s a real honour.”
When commenting on the weight to the stadium by MUTV, Amorim commented: “That’s really funny, because I feel very relaxed. maybe because it’s not game day.”
He continued: “When we have a game I’m a different guy. But I really don’t feel the weight. I’m really excited and I’m quite relaxed, you know?
“I think I am where I am supposed to be, that’s the feeling.”
