Fabrizio Romano reports that Ruben Amorim will sign with the Red Devils until 2027, on a three-year contract.
His current deal at Sporting expires in 2026, which is why United had to pay a hefty €10million release clause to bring him to Old Trafford.
The rest of the negotiations before his official announcement are thought to be formalities, as the major parts of the deal have already been agreed.
Amorim wanted to bring six members of staff with him from Sporting, which the club were reluctant to allow.
In the end, the Portuguese side granted this request but forced United to pay a further €1m in compensation.
The list of assistants joining Amorim in the dugout are as follows: Carlos Fernandes, Adélio Cândido, Jorge Vital, Paulo Barreira and Emanuel Ferro.
