Bendito Mantato and Jaydan Kamason to help prepare for decisive Athletic Club clash

The Daily Mail journalist Nathan Salt has taken to X to confirm that the pair’s omission from United’s Under-21s match yesterday was in relation to the senior side’s European clash.
The journalist commented: “Quite a few people asking about Kamason and Mantato’s non-involvement today, understand they are key to preparations for first team 2nd leg this week + will be part of Amorim’s training group again. Couldn’t be risked today”
With United’s senior squad missing significant players like Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee, the pair are being used in training to simulate Athletic Club’s side.
Mantato has a remarkable pace and presents a real threat with his direct runs, replicating Athletic Club’s Inaki and Nico Williams, whilst Kamason provides a similar threat from the right-wing-back role.
As such, the pair are a great duo to have in training to prepare United’s ever-changing back three for the attacks they could face on Thursday.
Whilst this is the extent of the roles they’re set to play in preparation for the game, a debut in the game isn’t out of the question.
