Manchester United under the leadership of Ruben Amorim, are preparing for their weekend match-up with Everton, being their final trip to Goodison Park.
However, Amorim is heading into the game with a worrying amount of injuries affecting his team selection.
Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo have been ruled out for the rest of the season, which Kobbie Mainoo is set to return after the international break.
Alongside this trio of Amorim’s routine starters, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are still regular visitors to the treatment room, with Toby Collyer, Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Leny Yoro all also ruled out over recent weeks.
In his pre-match conference prior to the Everton game, Amorim announced a massive boost for his side.
The Portuguese manager confirmed that Leny Yoro, Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen are all available for selection ahead of their trip to Goodison Park.
Commenting on their return, Amorim said: “We didn’t lose players [this week], we recover players. Chris {Christian Eriksen], Manu [Manuel Ugarte] and Leny [Yoro] return.”
He continued: “With Chris was a misunderstanding, really clear on that, he’s healthy and he’s ready to play for many years at a high level. My limitations are explaining the injuries.
“I felt that the week is really good. I see things in trainings but sometimes it’s hard to pass that to the game, I feel they are improving, tomorrow is another opportunity to show a better performance.”
With the trio returning to the pitch, Amorim will not be reliant on fresh academy graduate to fill the bench, bringing more experience back to the squad.
