Ruben Amorim dismisses claim about new signings

The United boss has made four signings so far this summer.

Ruben Amorim is preparing for his first full season as Manchester United manager following his arrival at Old Trafford in November of last year.

During this first full season, success will be aim as United look to improve on their 15th place finish in the Premier League last campaign.

To give himself the best chance of doing this, Amorim has been making several summer signings in areas of the squad where he thinks the squad needs improving.

These summer signings have come in the form of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo who arrive at Old Trafford as Ruben Amorim’s two major signings.

Furthermore, the Red Devils have also signed Diego Leon and Enzo Kana-Biyik.

However, these signings have been met with criticism from some fans who have suggested that Cunha and Mbeumo came to Manchester United for the money that United possess.

Now, Ruben Amorim has responded to these claims.

Speaking to Manchester United’s media team, the Red Devils boss has dismissed this claim saying that the argument “is a lie and I know that for sure”.

Furthermore, the 40-year-old has insisted that he only wants players who want to be at the club.

With Amorim dismissing these claims, attention will turn towards the Red Devils’ opening Premier League game of the 2025-26 campaign against Arsenal.

In this game, we may see both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo make their Premier League debuts.

The game may also give fans an insight into the way that Manchester United will play for next season.
