Manchester United and Ruben Amorim are in desperate need of improvement as the club have experienced their worst Premier League season to date.

Struggling to get out of the bottom half of the table, teetering on the edge of the relegation zone at points, and well off qualifying for European football, Ruben Amorim is faced with a mass overhaul this summer.

First team players like Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, who have been substandard this year, are facing the axe this summer for United to upgrade with targets like Zion Suzuki and Liam Delap.

However, Amorim has praised two of his young stars, claiming they hold the key to United’s future success.

Ruben Amorim praises Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven

Speaking to Stadium Astro, as reported by United in Focus, Amorim singled out Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven as being the future of the club.

The Portuguese manager commented: “You have to look at small things. The way that Leny Yoro improved, it’s really important for us.

He continued: “We have players like Ayden [Heaven] that came here from Arsenal and he’s playing. There are small things that are going to help us be better in the future. I try to look at the big things and small things.”

Whilst Heaven has received a devastating injury setback recently, delaying his return to the pitch, both of their signings have show a shift in the club’s recruitment strategy under INEOS.

Instead of big money signings, the club are looking to youngsters with unreal potential to support United’s present rejuvenation as well as secure its future success.
