Manchester United narrowly secured a much-needed 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town this evening, taking them up a place to 14th in the Premier League.
Once more United’s strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failed to find the back of the net, despite both being on the pitch, with the club’s defenders coming to the rescue.
Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt managed to convert corners from Bruno Fernandes to grab the win, with Fernandes also forcing an own-goal from a free-kick for United’s first goal of the game.
Now despite the win, one of United’s key players is once more coming under scrutiny, with there being no surprise that it’s goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Cameroon international has been heavily criticised previously for catastrophic errors which have led to goals, with today being no different.

Andre Onana give disastrous display against Ipswich Town
Ipswich got the game off and running in the fourth minute, making the most of the lack of communication between Patrick Dorgu and Onana at the back.
As the ball sailed over the defensive line, Dorgu tracked back covering it, and passing it back to his goalkeeper.
However, he seemingly didn’t realise that Onana, for whatever reason, had come completely off his line to come for the ball too, with Dorgu’s pass putting it around his keeper.
Jaden Philogene jumped on the loose ball and tapped it in to take The Tractor Boys ahead.
However, as United were 2-1 up, another poor decision from Onana saw the two teams draw level once more.
Philogene was the man of the hour once more as he whipped in a cross from the right wing, curving inwards.
However, Liam Delap failed to connect with the cross, not that it mattered.
Andre Onana failed to move quick enough, seeing the cross curve into the bottom far corner of the goal.
Now Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has given his thoughts on the calamitous performance.

Rio Ferdinand slams Andre Onana’s performance
Former Red Devil Rio Ferdinand was joined by ex-Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage as the pair commentated on the game for TNT Sports.
However, the pair had nothing good to say about the goalkeeper, especially with his blunder causing the first goal.
Commentating on the event, as reported by The Daily Mail, Savage explained: “Dorgu has tracked the run and the communication between Onana and Dorgu must be non-existent.”
He continued: “Credit to Jaden Philogene, the desire… he’s onside. But I’ve got no idea why Onana is running out to that position. Dorgu has got it under control, no problem at all. He shouldn’t come there, Onana!
I might be completely wrong but stay. The defender has got it under control so stay in your six-yard box.”
He went on to scrutinise the decision from Onana, saying: “The defender has got it under control. I don’t think there is a reason why Onana comes out there.
“You should be talking, lay it back to him on his right foot and then he can clear it. I don’t know why he’s come. The defender is in control… Onana, stay in your goal.”
Matching his commentary partner’s criticism, Ferdinand added: “A terrible start. I don’t think Dorgu, at any moment, looks up to sees where Onana is.”
He continued: “Onana doesn’t need to come in. The full-back is in complete control and he can just hold his ground and let him play it back to him.
“But Dorgu doesn’t look, the awareness isn’t there and it’s pounced on. Ipswich took a deserved lead for pouncing on that lack of communication.”
It was already reported that some of United’s staff have already begun raising concerns regarding Onana, however with Altay Bayindir out injured, Amorim has little choice, stuck with the Cameroon international, or 38-year-old Tom Heaton.
