Manchester United are a day away from their first Manchester Derby of the season, as they head to the Etihad Stadium to take on their local rivals.

United are coming into the game in ninth place, having lost 1-0 to Arsenal, having grabbed a 1-1 draw with Fulham and beating Burnley 3-2, whereas Manchester City are on the backfoot.

The Citizens are sitting in 13th after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 then losing 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur and 2-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion.

As such, with three points on offer, and so early in the season, both clubs will be fighting for the win, with City only a point off of United.

In the build up to the game, speculation has been growing around as many as 17 players set to miss the game through injury, with 13 coming from The Citizens.

However, Pep Guardiola has now confirmed that four of his stars are definitely out for the clash.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Guardiola commented: “Omar [Marmoush] is injured from Egypt. A few weeks I think [he will be out]. Before the [next] international break he will be ready.”

Going on to discuss the club’s other injury woes, the City manager commented: “Ait Nouri and Cherki. Stones as well is a doubt. Not a big issue but he’s a doubt for Sunday. The rest are fine.”
