Paul Pogba is back in the world of football after his four-year ban from the pitch for doping was ended early.

Although his ban began in September 2023, it was reduced to only 18 months, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling that Pogba inadvertently took DHEA, a substance which boosts testosterone and is on WADA’s banned substances list.

As he didn’t knowingly take this and it only affects females, Pogba’s ban was lifted early, seeing him return to training in January 2025 and back to the pitch two months later in March.

However, the France international found himself dropped by his then team Juventus in December 2024, leaving him clubless after 15 years of yo-yoing between Manchester United and Juventus.

Now, for the first time since 2009, Pogba could find himself playing for a club other than The Red Devils and The Old Lady.

Paul Pogba in talks with D.C. United

Give Me Sport has reported that the midfielder is in talks with MLS side D.C. United.

It’s reported that an initial informal conversation was had two months ago, with Pogba knowing D.C. United owner Jason Levien.

However, no formal offer has been put on the table for the 32-year-old free agent.

Pogba is currently training solo in Miami whilst speaking to several clubs before he decides on his next team, however D.C. United have one free player slot in their squad along side Christian Benteke and Mateusz Klich.
