After a dismal week in Europe and the Premier League, Erik ten Hag’s fate appears to be sealed, with Omar Berrada stepping up talks to replace the Dutchman.
Erik ten Hag’s men have now recorded their worst record in Europe since 1983, having only one one game in eleven and having a winless streak of six matches.
Not only that, but United are now 14th in the Premier League, making their worst start on record, making it very difficult to see how United’s hierarchy will be able to side with the Dutchman for a third time.
It’s also emerged that some of United’s more senior players are really questioning his team selections and rotation policy, with players like Marcus Rashford being benched after scoring three goals in two games.

Now, The Red Devils CEO appears to be stepping up his moves to sign ten Hag’s replacement.
Omar Berrada calls on Xavi Hernandez
Omar Berrada has made former Barcelona man, Xavi Hernandez, a concrete option to replace Ten Hag and has recently led a four-man team to have discussions with the Spanish legend in Barcelona.
Sky Sports have reported that discussions are currently ongoing between the pair to see Xavi take over at Old Trafford in the coming weeks.
However, it’s understood that the World Cup winner can’t turn the club around on his own, with Xavi explicitly requesting support from well-known former Red Devils to support his role at United. But no names have been confirmed yet as to who they can be.
Xavi has also requested that United look at purchasing Raphinha from Barca, with the Brazilian winger in an incredible run of form. So far this season, the 27-year-old has registered ten goals and seven assists in 14 games averaging 1.2 goal contributions per game.
Whether Xavi will take on the role remains to be seen, however with other candidates like Thomas Frank and Eddie Howe currently being with a club, requiring Untied to pay a compensation fee to release them, Xavi appears to be the strongest option for all aspects of the club.
