Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set for a new material challenge.
The former striker returned to Old Trafford as caretaker manager in December 2018 and was swiftly promoted as the permanent manager.
Two years later and Solskjaer’s second stint at United was over, being succeeded by Michael Carrick and Ralf Rangnick. The pair held the fort until Erik ten Hag in 2021.
The former Norwegian international hasn’t taken on a managerial role since despite being offered yet another stint with Molde.
However Fabrizio Romano has now reported that a Turkish club are in advanced talks to appoint Solskjaer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to join Besiktas
Romano has relayed Sports Digitale’s report of Besiktas being in advanced negotiations to secure the Norwegian as their new manager.
The contract is understood to be a year and a half taking him to the end of the 2025/26 season.
Besiktas are in sixth place, set to miss out on European football for next season unless they finish in the top four.
With Solskjaer being routinely successful at Molde and having a good run at Old Trafford, Besiktas are hoping he can also work some magic in Turkey.
