Manchester United officially face Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup second round.

Fans will be excited for this game given it is a great opportunity to progress in the cup.

It is also a great opportunity for young players to be given a chance under Ruben Amorim.

The likes of Bendito Mantato, Godwill Kukonki, and Chido Obi will be hoping to be given a chance here.

It also a great chance to see the new signings in action, like Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

And there has been an official change to the ticket sales for the game.

As officially confirmed by Grimsby Town Football Club’s official website, the club state that, “We can confirm that our Carabao Cup Round Two fixture against Manchester United at Blundell Park is fast approaching a sell-out.

“Following six extremely busy days of sales to season ticket holders and 1878 Club members, we only have restricted viewing seats left for the game against the Red Devils – mainly in the Technical Absorbents stand. All hospitality packages for the tie are sold out.

“Due to the very limited availability, we have suspended online sales, and the remaining tickets will be available from the Ticket Office from 10am tomorrow morning on a first come, first-serve basis to Season Ticket holders, 1878 Club members and fans who attended the Shrewsbury Town Round One Carabao Cup game.

“Unfortunately, this means that many of those supporters with counterfoils from our game against Shrewsbury Town are unlikely to be able to secure tickets for next week’s fixture.

“We wanted to provide supporters with this update ahead of the Ticket Office reopening tomorrow morning.

“We look forward to an exciting clash in front of a sell-out crowd next Wednesday.”

This sellout shows the stardom Manchester United Football Club possesses.

Manchester United are in the second round of the Carabao Cup for the first time since 2014.

That game was also against a lower league side, but ended in humiliation for The Red Devils.

Louis van Gaal was in his first season at Old Trafford and saw his side demolished 4-0 by Milton Keynes Dons.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping that his men fare much better at this stage of the competition than they did 11 years ago.
