Matheus Cunha’s dad drops major hint on Manchester United transfer

Matheus Cunha is a player Manchester United have been tipped to sign, and now his Dad has dropped a huge hint on social media.

The transfer saga of Wolves’ Matheus Cunha to join Manchester United has been one very much positive.

Cunha has endured a fantastic season at Wolves, currently sitting on 15 goals and six assists in the Premier League.

He has however, outgrown a club of Wolves’ stature with the club preparing for next season without the Brazilian.

Cunha’s move to United is expected to be verbally agreed in coming weeks.

Wolves have even started looking at possible replacements, with Jamie Vardy appearing as a shock target.

And now, there has been another hint dropped in regards to Cunha’s expected move.

Only this time, from his father.

Matheus Cunha’s Dad likes Instagram comment approving move

Carmelo Cunha (Cunha’s father), took to Instagram to share a picture sat outside at table with his son Matheus and Pedrinho Gomes.

Sully (SullyTalkz) commented “Welcome to United” under the post, which received a like from Carmelo.

It may well be the clearest transfer hint a club could receive, in regards to a pursuit of any player in general.

However in this instance, Cunha’s move only seems even more obvious now.

United’s interest in the talent has become well-known – INEOS have remained firm in their interest.

The Red Devils clearly see the 25-year-old as a welcome addition to their first-team.

Paul Scholes has raised concerns over the signing, due to the imbalanced nature within United’s environment.

Cunha’s quality however, cannot be ignored.

Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system will likely bode well for the Brazilian, who can operate as one of the 10’s.

He can also fill in as a sole striker – a route Amorim may consider, should Rasmus Hojlund still be struggling next season.

For now though, United fans will be relaxed regarding the club’s pursuit for Cunha.

It seems clear that Cunha and his family have their mind set on the move to United.
