Despite being only four games into the season, Manchester United have already had some injury concerns, causing set backs to several players.
At the start of pre-season, Andre Onana suffered a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the remainder of the pre-season, seeing him only feature in United’s devastating loss to Grimsby Town.
Sekou Kone was stretchered off the pitch in United’s Under-21s match up with Tamworth having fractured his eye socket, seeing the game be abandoned.
Now, the most recent blow to the senior squad has been with Matheus Cunha, having come off injured in the 31st minute, being replaced by Joshua Zirkzee.
Unfortunately this injury led to the Brazil international having his call-up for the final World Cup qualifiers revoked due to being able to play.
Now, CentreDevils has revealed that the injury wasn’t as bad as it first seemed as the attacker recovers at Carrington.
That said, the full extent of the injury is still unknown, however Cunha has begun upper body work at the United training ground.
Now, the 26-year-old has taken to Instagram to respond to the fans amid his injury setback.
Posting images of his time at Old Trafford on Saturday, Matheus Cunha commented: “What an incredible environment, it’s great to be here.”
He continued: “I’ll be back soon, always with joy and gratitude. Thanks for all the messages.”
