Matheus Cunha has represented Brazil on the national stage since 2020, in a period in which he has made 15 appearances.
His spell with the national team came off the back of spells with the Brazil Under 22 and Brazil Under 23 sides respectively.

Alternatively, it could be showing how cautious Cunha is and how mature and honest he is in making the correct choices.
However, if the Brazilian is unfit for the City game, Ruben Amorim may turn his attention towards other alternative options such as Benjamin Sesko.
But, the hope may be that both Cunha and Sesko are fit for the game in two weeks time to give United the best depth and strength in the striker position.
