Matheus Cunha is one of Manchester United’s newest players following the summer transfer window, in which he became United’s first signing.

The Brazilian, formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers, has featured in each of the Red Devils’ three Premier League games.

Furthermore, he has received an average rating of 6.72 according to FotMob for his performances this season.

During his time at Wolves, the 26-year-old featured 72 times, scoring on 31 occasions, an average of a goal every 2.3 games.

These are numbers that Cunha will arguably be aiming to hit during his time at Old Trafford.

But, his progress towards this aim can be said to have been halted.

In today’s game against Burnley – which United won 3-2 with a last minute winner -, the forward suffered an injury.

The injury saw Cunha go straight down the tunnel during the game continued.

Currently, the severity of this injury is unknown currently.

However, what is known is that it could be a hamstring injury.

But, now, an update has emerged on his injury.

As seen in the video below, Matheus Cunha walked out of Old Trafford without crutches or a leg brace.

Therefore, it can be said that the injury suffered by the winger could be an injury as simple as cramp.

If this was the case, the Brazilian could be available for the game against Manchester City in two weeks time.

With Cunha featuring in each of United’s three Premier League games henceforth, arguably, Manchester United fans will be hopeful that the injury is simply cramp or something minor.

However, nothing can be counted out just yet.

Therefore, the next couple of days and weeks will be arguably crucial in telling us the extent of Cunha’s injury and in telling us how much time he will be out for.
