His trust in youth has seen Tyler Fredricson, Chido Obi and others make their first-team breakthroughs this season.
Impressive performances since earning fan admiration.
Most recently, Harry Amass was handed his senior debut.
His emergence has not only caught the attention of other clubs, but of course senior players at United – including Mason Mount.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who has been sidelined for part of the season due to injury, has returned to action and played a vocal role off the pitch in Amorim’s setup.
Mason Mount hails Harry Amass following senior debut
Speaking to MUTV, Mount opened up on his relationship with Amass.
The former Chelsea man praised the 18-year-old’s fearlessness in training and technical ability.
“He’s a top lad. He obviously came into the squad last season and trained with us a few times.
“Instantly, we saw what he could do. He wasn’t scared. He came into training and was getting on the ball.
“Very good technically, he’s been brilliant. I see a lot of potential in him.
“Obviously, I didn’t come on in the game but seeing him come on and make his debut.
“It was very special and I was very proud of him.
“After the game I went over to him to say well done. There’s plenty more to come from him.”
Mount’s words reflect his growing role as one of the dressing room’s key senior figures.

A leadership place alongside Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire, who are helping guide Amorim’s young squad.
Maguire’s affect on the younger players was recently described to be “invaluable to the kids”, and the same applies to Mount.
The 26-year-old is said to be holding regular talks with Kobbie Mainoo and Toby Collyer to support their development.
While Mount is still looking to fully hit his stride on the pitch following a big-money move from Chelsea, his influence off it is clear.
A quality Amorim clearly values highly.
With more academy stars expected to break through under the new manager, Mount’s mentorship could prove crucial in shaping the next generation of Manchester United players.
