This summer, Manchester United loaned out Marcus Rashford for the second time this year, following his brief spell with Aston Villa at the end of last season.
The Red Devils agreed a loan move for Rashford in the winter after he was dropped from Ruben Amorim’s squad due to his apparent attitude towards training and games.
Despite performing well for Villa, their lack of Champions League football meant they were unable to commit to the optional buy clause of £40 million, leaving the door open for Barcelona to swoop in.
Now, the England international is with the LaLiga champions, with Barcelona having the option to buy Rashford for £30 million at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has made four appearances so far, grabbing his first assists for the club, setting up Raphinha in their last game, recording a 6-0 victory over Valencia.
Now, Barcelona are set to head to England as they take on Newcastle United in their first Champions League group stage game of the campaign.
Taking to social media, the Spanish side have announced their travelling squad, with Marcus Rashford set to make the trip.
It’s also expected that with Lamine Yamal out injured, missing out on joining the travelling squad, Rashford will be ready to start the match, joining Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski as the attacking trio.
