Marcus Rashford has made his LaLiga debut with new club Barcelona after coming on for the final 21 minutes in teh LaLiga champions 3-0 win over RCD Mallorca.
Raphinha got Barca’s campaign fully underway with a goal in the seventh minute after linking up with a Lamine Yamal cross.
Then in the 23rd minute, Ferran Torres grabbed the Spanish giant’s second before being replaced by Rashford, before Yamal got his own goal, linking with Gavi.
The England international is currently taking on the role of a back-up winger at his new club, being on a season-long loan with Barca, who have the option to buy for £26 million plus add-ons.
However, Rashford is keen to be successful with Barca, having stated he’s keen for a new challenge before going on a half-season loan with Aston Villa in the winter.
Villa opting out of triggering their £40 million option to buy over Rashford’s wages opened the door for Barcelona, with Rashford seemingly loving life in Spain.
Now, the 27-year-old has spoken out on who he believes is most deserving of being crowned with the Ballon d’Or.
Talking to Spanish outlet SPORT, Marcus Rashford commented: “If he doesn’t win it this year, another year he will win.”
He continued: “I think him, Dembele, Raphinha, they all deserve it. It’s really difficult to pick one, but for me, I think they are all mature people, and they understand the three of them have had a fantastic season.
The England international even labelled Yamal as “most talented player I’ve ever seen” for an 18-year-old.
Now, Rashford has the rest of the season alongside Yamal, hoping to impress enough to earn a permanent move to remain in Hansi Flick’s squad.
