The two clubs have agreed a deal for a loan with an option to buy for the forward.
United have also inserted a penalty clause in case Barcelona don’t trigger the buy option, similar to the Jadon Sancho deal with Chelsea
With Barcelona due to pay all of Rashford’s wages during the loan, the deal will save United around £17 million throughout the season.
Rashford arrived in Barcelona on Sunday night and completed his medical the following day.

According to Marca, Rashford has now met his new Barcelona teammates at their training ground this morning.
However, Barcelona are trying to keep a wrap on the deal, with no images being release of Rashford at the ground.
The Spanish giants are keen on keeping this deal as quiet as possible until everything is completely signed, not wanting to jump the gun and disappoint their fans.
For Rashford, the move to Barcelona represents a fresh start and a golden opportunity to reignite his career.
After a difficult spell in England, a change of environment, new challenges, and the chance to work under a different system could be exactly what he needs.
Still only 27, Rashford has time on his side and plenty of talent to offer.
United fans will be hoping he rediscovers his best form in Spain and whether or not he returns, the priority now is getting his career back on track.
