Marcus Rashford has officially left Manchester United after spending more than 20 years at his boyhood club, rising through the academy to become a first-team star.
Barcelona have agreed a season-long loan deal with an option to buy worth £30.3 million for the England international, who had fallen out of favour at Old Trafford.
Although United would have preferred a permanent transfer for Rashford, they are expected to save approximately £17 million on wages, as Barcelona will cover 100% of his salary during the loan spell.
With a crucial summer of recruitment ahead for United, as they look to add more reinforcements following the arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, every bit of extra income and wage relief could prove vital to their plans.

Rashford has now made his debut for new club Barcelona.
It came during pre-season as Barcelona faced Japanese side Vissel Kobe in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
According to the BBC, the Spanish giants won the match 3-1, with goals from Erik Garcia, Roony Bardghji, and teenage prospect Dro Fernandez.
Rashford came on at half-time but was replaced just 33 minutes later by goalscorer Fernandez.
However, this is likely part of a gradual plan to ease the forward back to full fitness, bedding him in slowly ahead of more competitive action.
Rashford will be desperate for a strong season in Spain, hoping to get his career back on track ahead of the 2026 World Cup next summer.
After an inconsistent loan spell at Aston Villa, the England international will be determined to earn a starting spot at Barcelona as quickly as possible.
La Liga’s slightly slower tempo compared to the Premier League may suit Rashford, giving him the space to use his one-on-one ability and transitional pace to return to the level of attacking output he’s proven capable of in the past.
