This weekend saw Manchester United knock Arsenal out of the FA Cup in a heated Third Round draw which ultimately ended with penalties.
Reduced to ten men after Diogo Dalot was sent off for a second yellow, United hung on to the end despite the controversial decisions in the game.
Despite limited contact from Harry Maguire, Arsenal were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute, with Altay Bayindir getting the better of Martin Odegaard, with an impressive diving save to the bottom corner.
Well, Bayindir managed the same feat, saving a spot kick in the penalty shootout, for United to be victorious with a score of 5-3.
However, Manuel Ugarte could now face retrospective action for his part in the brawl that broke out after the penalty was awarded.
After the spot-kick was given, the pitch broke out into mayhem with both teams descending into chaos.
However in the mix of the action, Manuel Ugarte was spotted seemingly headbutting Kai Havertz.

Manuel Ugarte to face disciplinary for Kai Havertz headbutt

Now The Mirror have reported that whilst referee Andy Madley missed the incident in the brawl, with VAR not being used in the third and fourth round of the FA Cup. However, Manuel Ugarte may not be off the hook just yet.
The defensive midfielder could now face a three-match ban due to the headbutt if the conduct is considered violent. Had the headbutt been caught by he referee, Ugarte could have been given his marching orders with the offence being worthy of a red-card.
Speaking after the game, Ugarte took to social media commenting: “When we have the ball, it’s a game and when we don’t, it’s a fight. Let’s keep it going always together.”
Supporting Ugarte’s statement, Ruben Amorim commented after the game: “Thankfully, the players were there. They fight, and what we talk about before the match is not technical or tactical, but this.”
He continued: “It was really tough at the beginning and not having the ball, but without the ball you can control the game. We had the feeling that everything in the end would be okay – I felt that since the beginning of the second half.
“Even after the penalty, I felt that and I think the Arsenal team maybe felt that today wouldn’t be their day. But I’m really pleased for the way we controlled the game without the ball, and with set-pieces, we were really strong.
“The spirit was there even with 10 men. I think the connection between the team on the pitch and the fans outside was a really good thing to feel. I think we are improving on that and I think that is the base of everything. Now the rest will come but that connection, we are fighting.”
