Manchester United have played four games so far this season, with the overall consensus being of disappointment.
The Red Devils started off their campaign with a 1-0 loss to Arsenal due to an Altay Bayindir mistake.
New signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo made their debuts in this game.
Ruben Amorim’s side then drew 1-1 with Fulham away from home thanks to an own goal from Rodrigo Muniz giving them their goal.
This was followed by a huge upset, losing on penalties to League 2 side Grimsby Town 12-11.
The game ended level at 2-2, with the League 2 side shocking the world with their dominant first half performance.
United then got their first win of the season with a 3-2 win against Burnley at Old Trafford.
Josh Cullen conceded an own goal, with Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes getting on the scoresheet.
These four games have overall not been ideal but they have offered glimpses of hope with a few player shining.
And now one has officially won the August player of the month award.

Manchester United have officially announced that Bryan Mbeumo has won their player of the month award for August.
This comes after his incredible start to his Red Devils career grabbing two goals in four games.
Aside from the goals, his overall performances have been spectacular too.
After the Red Devils’ interest in the forward was exclusively broken by CentreDevils, the negotiations were difficult and drawn out, taking almost two months to conclude.
Ruben Amorim’s team agreed to a fee of £71 million, including £6 million in add-ons, despite having two bids rejected.
This player of the month award is clearly deserved for Mbeumo and hopefully motivation for him to succeed further.
