Manchester United are setting set to gear up for a new UEFA Europa League campaign.

Having won the FA Cup over Manchester City, United qualified for the competition despite failing to qualify via their league position.

This season, the European competition is taking on a new format.

Similar to the UEFA Champions League, the tradition four team group system is being removed.

Instead, each team will play 8 fixtures in total, with four at home and four away.

Teams are split in four pots, with each team playing two sides from each pot.

A computer will then automatically allocate fixtures to the teams depending on what pot they were in.

It’s a complicated process.

Manchester United were put into pot one.

Manchester United’s UEFA Europa League 2024/25 fixtures are as follows.

Rangers (H), Porto (A), PAOK (H), Fenerbahce (A), Bodo/Glimt (H), Victoria Plzen (A), Twente (H), FCSB (A)

There are no details just yet in regards to what dates the fixtures will be and in what order United will play these games.

Manchester United fans and officials will be happy with that draw in general.

Rangers at home will be a great spectacle for both sets of fans and there isn’t anyone in the draw who should pose the club too many problems.

However, the club will have to ensure that they guard against complacency.

Last season, Erik ten Hag’s men were given a similarly easy looking draw on paper for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Yet, the team went on a horror run that saw them finish bottom of their group.

Everyone associated with the club will look to ensure that doesn’t happen again this time around.

Manchester United will start as one of the favourites for the trophy and will look to back that tag up on the pitch.
